Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED 21 AUGUST 2026 · APP: FMIndia (com.digitaldyna.fmindia)

FMIndia does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics of our own and no crash reporter, and the app never requests location — it holds no location permission at all.

The one exception is the advertising banner, which is served by Google and collects a set of technical identifiers described in full below. We named it rather than glossed it, because a policy that claims more than the app delivers is worse than no policy. Every other claim on this page describes how the app is actually built.

WHO WE ARE

FMIndia is published by DigitalDyna. You can reach us at hello@digitaldyna.com about anything on this page.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

The app writes a small amount of information to its own private storage:

None of this is uploaded anywhere, and none of it is readable by us or anyone else. It lives on your phone until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.

WHAT WE NEVER ASK FOR

No name, no age, no email address, no sign-in. No contacts, no microphone and no location — the app does not request those permissions at all, so they cannot be granted by accident. Your state is chosen from a list by hand; it is never sensed.

WHAT LEAVES THE APP

Station audio. When you press play, your phone connects directly to that broadcaster's public stream. The broadcaster therefore sees your IP address, exactly as it would if you opened the same stream in a browser. We are not in the middle of that connection and we do not log it.

Station list refreshes. The catalogue ships inside the app. Over Wi-Fi it is occasionally refreshed against the Radio-Browser open directory (radio-browser.info) to pick up changed stream addresses. That request carries no information about you and nothing about what you have listened to.

Nothing about your listening is reported anywhere. The app deliberately does not send the play-count report that the Radio-Browser directory invites apps to send.

ADVERTISING

The free version shows a single banner served by Google AdMob. Everything described in this section is collected by Google's Mobile Ads SDK, not by us — we receive no personal information back from it and we never see any of it. Google publishes the full list itself, and we reproduce it here rather than summarising it:

Google collects and shares this for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and all of it is encrypted in transit using TLS. The current, authoritative list is Google's own Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure, and Google's wider handling of ad data is described in the Google Privacy & Terms pages.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android's Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Removing ads stops all of it. For users who have bought the ad-free upgrade, the advertising component is never loaded, so none of the above is collected at all.

PURCHASES

If you buy the ad-free upgrade, the purchase is handled end to end by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card details, billing address or any payment information. The app keeps only a local flag recording that the upgrade is active, so it works offline.

CHILDREN

FMIndia is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children — in fact we do not collect personal information from anyone, and the app has never asked for an age.

ERASING YOUR DATA

Clear the app's data or uninstall it, and everything the app stored is gone. Because nothing is held on any server of ours, there is no account to close and no deletion request to make. If you would like confirmation of that in writing, email us and we will reply.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If the app's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects this page, we will update it here and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
